We do not ask you for personal information on this website, and we do not run analytics, advertising or tracking of any kind. There are no accounts, no newsletter sign-up and no forms to fill in. Nothing you do here is sent to us.

Your choices on the consent banner — whether to allow the Google map — are kept in your browser’s local storage on your own device. That record is not a tracking cookie and is never sent to us or anyone else.

Our Visit page can show a map from Google Maps. Loading it is a request to Google, and Google can therefore see your IP address, your browser and the fact that you loaded that page. Because that is a request to somebody else, we do not make it unless you say so.

If you have not chosen, or you declined, the map is not loaded at all and the page shows our address with a link you can choose to follow instead. What Google does with a request you make to them is covered by Google’s privacy policy.

Stopping the map simply stops it loading. Any cookies Google set while the map was shown belong to Google’s own domain rather than ours, so we cannot remove them for you; clearing your browser’s data does. To ask us anything about this policy, email contact@thebaldwintapasbar.com.

The site is hosted on Microsoft Azure Static Web Apps. Like effectively all web hosting, their servers keep operational logs that can include your IP address, the page you requested, the time and your browser’s user-agent string. These exist so the service can be run and defended against abuse. We do not use them to build a profile of you and we do not combine them with anything else.

We link out to Google Maps, to our Google Business listing and to our social profiles. Those are other companies’ services and their own privacy policies apply once you follow the link.

Our own staff, and our web agency, use a separate console on this domain to keep the menus and hours up to date. Everyone signs in with their Google account; there are no passwords of our own. If someone who has not been given access tries to sign in, we record the email address they used, so that we can see attempts to get in. The console is not part of the public website and runs no analytics or advertising.

This is the website of a bar. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

If we change what this site collects — adding a booking system, a mailing list or another analytics or advertising tool, for instance — we will update this page before the change goes live, and the date at the top will change.
